What is General Shinseki's address and why is it being withheld on the VA website. The phone directory that you provided is useless.

the nature of the correspondance is our general indicates he wants to end homelessness in 5 yrs. how will this happen if they continue to hire high wage pencil pushers, wont address incarcerated veterans issues and sex offenders. they arent going away and the numbers grow. but the gs 12 positions could care less, wont listen and are unwilling to take real action
this is for general shinseki.

Chanara Casey Richmond: You don't mention the nature of the correspondence, so you're better off calling the Dept. first one of the numbers listed on the website

I need to contact Eric Shinseki, Secretary of Veteran's Affairs. The www.va.gov website does not include his contact information. Would a letter sent to 810 Vermont Ave NW, Washington, DC 20420 get to him?

thanks,
chanara casey richmond

The Veterans Administration has had many secretaries and each appointment has proven to be not worthy of any distinction. Mr. Shinseki in my view has to be the worst appointee to this position. It represents Obama’s rainbow coalition of races. He has hired blacks, women, gay women, gay men, straight women, straight men, Hispanic and Asians and heaven known what else. My point is that these people do not represent the sharpest knives in the kitchen but the mediocre who have very little to offer

To date Mt Shinseki has failed to manage his directors in all 21 VISNs. Each director has their own agenda and most do not consider the needs of the veterans. The failed policies and excessive spending by these directors are then rewarded by bonuses.

The infections of so many veterans by VA medical staff have yet to be addressed by the secretary. There were no termination or reprimands of those involved. Why was nobody held accountable for such travesty of care?

I am sorry but the lives of so many veterans need to have someone in charge that knows how to lead and control his staff. We need someone who listens to veterans and confronts them face to face. Is he afraid of what he will hear, from veterans? A puppet needs to break away from his master.

I want to ask when are veterans going to be given their due respect by the government. I want to know when the welfare of of veterans will out weigh the corporate wall that has been built. when our government is going to think it is more important to keep veterans employed than it is to allow ceo's and other corporate officials to get bonuses and layoff employees for them to get these bonuses
